67 Speed – How to Play
New to 67 speed? This complete tutorial covers everything you need to know to play your first round — from setting up your camera to making the gesture correctly.
Step 1 – Set Up Your Camera
Open 67Record.com and allow camera access when your browser asks. Position yourself so you are facing your device's front camera. Your hands should be visible when held at roughly chest height with arms comfortably extended. Good lighting — especially from in front of you, not behind — helps the AI detect your gesture accurately.
Step 2 – Learn the 6-7 Gesture
The 6-7 gesture means showing 6 fingers on one hand and 7 on the other simultaneously. For 6: hold up your thumb and five fingers (or use the ASL 6 shape: pinky and thumb extended, other fingers closed). For 7: show 7 fingers across both hands — this typically means all 5 on one hand plus 2 on the other (or the ASL 7 shape).
Our AI detects both hands together. Practice the gesture slowly at first — speed comes naturally once the shape is familiar.
Step 3 – Play a Round
Click "Start" to begin. The timer starts immediately. Every time you complete the 6-7 gesture and the AI detects it, your count increases. Try to make the gesture as many times as possible before the 20 seconds run out. Your score appears immediately when time expires.
Step 4 – Improve
Your first score is just the beginning. Check out our tips page for techniques that improve your score, and play daily for consistent improvement. Most people double their score within the first week of regular play.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if the AI is not detecting my gesture?
Check your lighting first — this is the most common cause of detection problems. Ensure both hands are fully within the camera frame. Try a plain background behind your hands. Move slightly closer to the camera if at a larger distance.
Do both hands need to be in frame?
Yes. The 6-7 gesture requires both hands, so both must be visible to the camera simultaneously. Position yourself so both hands fit in the frame when held at comfortable chest height.
